Currently, I am not accepting new consulting clients as I am prioritizing existing commitments. However, we are open to custom project inquiries. This is ideal when you have a project already in progress and want to change the course to set it on a path towards high performance. I’ll come out to visit the site, examine everything, and we’ll make a plan right then and there. This includes a follow up call.

The idea of this program is for you, the owner, to take on the role of GC and to be totally in charge. I truly believe that owners can get a better house by going this route vs. having a typical builder build for them.

Owner is the GC in charge of scheduling and supervising the work. Scott True is guiding the whole process and showing up during critical details.

Consulting will consist of the following

  1. Looking at the plans to ensure everything is in alignment with high performance and goals.
  2. Rough Budget
  3. Site visit at the beginning
  4. First Budget with some choices incorporated
  5. Structural planning
  6. High Performance Details
    1. Durability
    2. Comfort
    3. Health
    4. Energy Efficiency
  7. HVAC planning
  8. Project Sequencing
  9. Schedule
  10. Final Budget
  11. Scott shows up during critical moments which could include things like
    1. Weatherization
    2. HVAC rough-in
    3. HVAC set out and commissioning
  12. Scott is available throughout the build to answer questions.

The fee for this service varies depending on the complexity of the project and what is needed.

GC Partnership

The idea of this program is that Scott True takes on the role of GC during the first half of the build where all the building science stuff happens and then you, the owner, takes the role of GC during the second half where it’s mostly the cosmetics.

Scott is the GC in charge of scheduling and supervising the work up to the sheetrock phase. Owner is GC from sheetrock phase to completion while Scott consults during this time.

Consulting will consist of the following

  1. Looking at the plans to ensure everything is in alignment with high performance and goals.

  3. Site visit at the beginning
